Being invited to Paris any time is a pleasure, and particularly in spring time. A double running of a two day course last week gave some time to linger in the lovely parks that are on the brink of bursting into flower.
In the training room, the focus was on hedging to preserve the value of collateral in financing facilities. Metals were the main commodity sector, with some additional discussions of energy and agricultural commodities. The unfortunate events in Brussels lent a sombre note to break out and lunch time conversations, and the Eiffel Tower was lit in the Belgian colours as a mark of respect.
